This is a deck I'm rather fond of. The first deck that I really played when i started playing the Pokemon TCG back in 2022 was an altered Gardevoir VMAX deck. The original deck was honestly not great, but it was a good way to start out and get used to playing the game, especially since the local scene wasn't as competitive as it is now, with everyone seeming to play highly meta decks. Before Scarlet and Violet base set came out, my friends recommended I try out the new Gardevoir deck that was gaining popularity in Japan, and honestly, I'm so glad they made this recommendation, because I had a blast playing that first rendition of the Gardy deck!! The deck took many cards across different sets to create something that just fit so well together, so much so that when rotation came about, people thought that Gardevoir as an archetype was dead, but here it is, still kicking!! |
I currently struggle with the new gardevoir, I don't fully get the math, and sequencing is a nightmare, which honestly isn't new for this deck. In any case, I look forward to figuring out how to make it work for me!! The decklist below is the deck that I currently play. It's the same 60 as Keito Arai, who placed third at NAIC 2024. I think I primarily chose to go with this list because I already had Unfair Stamp and not Hyper Aroma like some of the other decks that performed well at NAIC this year. In any case, at the time of me writing this, about 90% of Gardevoir lists run Unfair Stamp so it's probably fine. I think there's something strong about playing a deck with single prize attackers, even if it usually takes several turns to get fully set up. |
